The picture shown above is fresh from Sanford, Maine and catches THIS neighbor in the act of beefing up his Holiday Decoration Display well before Turkey Day. From the data we were able to gather, we found that 4 out of 5 Americans feel it is socially unacceptable to put up Holiday Decorations before Thanksgiving. What do you think??

“4 out of 5 Americans feel it is socially unacceptable…”??? Who cares? Do, or dont, or leave it up all year. Why would it matter? People are so funny.
Maybe his place of employment sells those decorations locally so his yard is really just advertising- with the added benefit that his kids love it.
4 out of 5 people need to mind their own business to.
if you lived in Maine you would know that most anyone who puts up Xmas decorations does so around Halloweeen BECAUSE … it gets too cold to do them anytime after that. We don’t light them until the holidays and hopefully can get them down during a January thaw. Or it’s wait until spring
Well said @Your Guess

too cold ??
Some of the 20 million canucks who live NORTH of the border are falling off their chairs laughing. Priceless
A good part of Maine is north of small portions of Canada. Regardless -5F isn’t fun for anyone and much more serious than the cold is the snow! If you have “ground mounted” ornaments and put them out after it snows and it happens to warm up…it can be quite a crooked mess. Granted if it snows on top of them (and it certainly will, even if you wait until December to put them out) then they may be only half visible at Christmas. Personally I’ll just staple some lights to the porch.
From now on every time I hear someone complain about decorations going up early I’m going to start putting my decorations up one day earlier.
