CHRISTMAS LIGHTS IN WASHINGTON

Christmas-in-Seattle-Medium-Bright

“My neighbors LOVE Christmas. If there was a competition for lights in the area (there isn’t) they would win hands down. I don’t think a picture really does this justice… it’s as if they are using (or possibly have created) some type of new light source that is 10x brighter than LED because you can see this display from a mile away!”

With the electric bill and all the work (likely in the cold) setting that up and taking it down I say no thanks.

What a great way to celebrate xmas (if you can afford it). Not sure why embracing the Holidays is included in this site if done during “normal sleeping hours”. Seems like a case of Bah-humbug to me.

When I lived in Los Angeles, I was amazed at what the people who work at the studios would come up with for their homes. There were lots of houses of this type, but with the places wired up and matched to a radio station, a game device, or some other cool feature. You just had to turn it on to trigger the light show, or the game, or whatever. Others set up entire walk-through scenes (sort of like haunted houses that aren’t haunted); carnivals, and of course, the various cool props they collected over the years. The guy that lived behind me put up an enormous dragon’s head coming out of the chimney, for some reason. Besides the studio people, there are a lot of Catholics from Central and South America who like to do insanely detailed lighted Nativities and the like in their yards.
