ROOF LOOKS TIRED

Tired-Roof

The obvious answer is there’s a leak in the roof, right? That however does not fully explain this rather intriguing display of ingenuity. Anyone have any ideas?

The tires are obviously there to hold down the tarp… but what keeps the tires from filling with water and becoming too heavy for the roof??

  • Bob

I’ve seen tires used on roofs to absorb sunlight and melt snow. May or may not be involved here.

Oh God, please don’t let my neighbor see this or he may try it. He’s had a disintegrating tarp on his roof for the past couple of years.

Used all the time down here in Mississippi. As long as the roof is not too steep the tires will not slide off and they do a great job holding down the tarp when it gets windy. If you don’t want water to stand in the tire, simply shoot a hole in it. I thought everyone knew that. ;-)

This is not shameful. The person has a leak and either hasn’t had time to fix it or is too poor. It looks like they came up with a resourceful, cheap solution. There is a difference between poverty and shamefulness. Whoever runs this website should learn it.

@Gary, you beat me to it.

Glad to ingenuity up North as well, tires have lots of uses after they don’t hold air any more.

Might be windy, cheaper than a new roof.
