Affectionately referred to by some local residents as ‘The Hubcap House’, you literally can’t miss this intriguing sight located on Route 302 just West of Portland.
When I was 8 or 9, we lived next to a busy highway. I got hubcaps at least twice a week. I kept hoping the drivers would come back and pay me for saving their hubcaps. I must have blanked out my disappointment…I have no idea what my parents did with those hubcaps.

p.s. re.: the picture; it’s ugly, and those things with the helmets on are just really creepy.
Bud
I like it. The helmets on the posts really add to the beauty.
Doc
there is another one like it in indiana.
Oogie
At eighty to a hundred fifty bucks at a crack, and a lot more for full wheels, it may be ugly but I bet they’re making money off of it and don’t care.
