ELECTRIC VEHICLE PARKING

Prius-Pricks

“I can’t tell whether I’m looking at the future or just something really obnoxious. I have never heard of one of these, but it caught me off guard pulling into a Walgreens parking lot. Thought it was a handicap spot.”

Ok, someone explain to me what I am missing. Walgreen’s installed a spot for charging an electric car. So? What’s the big deal? Why is this even on here?

  • Nonono

Our City Market has these. I’ve seen people using them, too.

  • millipede

You never heard of an electric vehicle? Wow. To clear things up for you, you’re looking at the future. As far as obnoxious, let’s not go there….

  • Steve

Really? This was posted? Does the submitter live under a rock? I suppose the person who submitted this is still amazed by the horseless carriage.

  • egads

Yup,the future. Kudos to Walgreens for thinking ahead. I guess the submitter thought the parking spot was too close to front door, hence, obnoxious? And the Walgreen’s is his/her neighbor?

  • no

    Ever been to California?
    Those parking spots are everywhere!

  • Doc

    stupid hipsters.
just so you know: these “spots” aren’t valid. it’s not like it’s a handicapped spot, where if you park there you will get a ticket.
this is just some fag’s idea that only electric vehicles can park there.
they have one of these spots at the wallgreens where i live. i LOVE to park my lincoln in the spot and shop for an hour. the faggy hipster employees don’t like it, but who really cares what a minimum wage idiot thinks.

  • Kurt

What bothers me about this, is these electric cars are getting free fuel. Put some gas pumps up too.

  • ki,

The only thing that bothers me about this “free” fueling station for electric cars is that Walgreens and other retailers will be passing the increased cost of their utilities bills on to the rest of us who shop in their stores. There is no such thing as “free”. Someone will pay.

  • Your Guess

EXACTLY what ki said. SOMEONE is paying. It may not be the electric car driver who parks there – but someone is paying! Also, who even has an electric car? Ive never seen anyone use one of these parking spaces for electric fueling.

  • Mayor McTurd

damn, there are stupid people in the comments too, not just the pics…

just because it’s in a walgreens lot doesn’t mean it’s free. lol… more than likely the person who needs a charge will pay for it via a credit/debit transaction on the charger…

    To Doc:

I hope every gas station you go to in you Lincoln has a horse carriage sitting in front of every pump and the owners shop for about an hour. Second, how did you manage to tie hipsters with the electric cars, where is the connection between the two? As far as the “spots” being valid, I guess you mean enforced by police, the answer is NO. It’s just a matter of being courteous, you probably would not what that is since you are from the “Asshole-Land”.
